Halloween is almost here and there are a TON of fun Halloween-inspired events happening in and around Boulder this weekend! TONIGHT in Central Park, take the kids to see Hocus Pocus. This weekend take your pick of activities including pumpkin carving, halloween parties and fall festivals!

Blue has teamed up with the City of BoulderBoulder BeerKGNU and the Boulder Weekly to bring back Cult Classics at Central Park– a series of three cult classic movies to be shown at Central Park the first three Fridays in October. We’ll have a beer garden from Boulder Beer with proceeds benefiting The Blue Foundation and KGNU, food trucks There will also be food trucks, so come hungry and support local businesses. Check out the Orchard Town Center‘s Annual Halloween Celebration! It all begins at the Town Center Square at 11am to trade your non-perishable food donation for an Orchard Trick or Treat bag with fun surprises inside (while supplies last). Hang out and play some games, win some prizes and dance to family-friendly Halloween music! Then start your trick or treat journey through The Orchard. Participating stores with candy will have a balloon bouquet at their front door. The first 200 kids will receive a free mini-pumpkin to decorate! Plus, free face painting, balloons, Halloween games and prizes, characters, photo opps and more. Bring your furry friend and enter them into the pet parade and costume contest! Anderson Farms Fall Festival

The Fall Festival runs from September 20 – October 31, 2017.

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 10AM – 6PM, Friday 10AM – 11PM, Saturday 9AM – 11PM, Sunday 9AM – 10PM

Pricing: Admission to Fall Festival – Monday – Thursday, $10, Friday, Saturday & Sunday $16. Kids 3 & Under are FREE. Tickets available here.

Anderson Farms is hosting its annual Fall Festival, complete with a pumpkin patch, hayrides and so much more! Admission includes a ton of fun activities such as Colorado’s longest-running 30 acre corn maze, hayride to the pumpkin patch, pumpkin launching, mine cars, barrel train, farm animals, farm lights and so much more! For those who enjoy a fright, after dark Anderson Farms hosts Zombie Paintball Hunt, a unique paintball experience where you shoot zombies throughout the cornfield (but don’t worry, you won’t get shot!) while riding on a zombie wagon. The Pumpkin Patch & Fall Festival runs from September 23 – October 31, 2017.

Hours: Daily 10AM – 6PM

Pricing: FREE Admission. Wagon Hayrides (Saturdays and Sundays) $3/person.

Cottonwood Farms hosts a classic Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival in East Boulder. The farm offers a pumpkin patch as well as fall produce for purchase. Explore the hand-cut corn maze, with narrow paths for a fun and personal experience. The farm also offers a straw bale maze, farm animals to view, and vintage farm equipment display! Don’t miss the hayride, available on Saturdays and Sundays for $3/person.

Isabelle Farm Pumpkin Patch

Isabelle Farm is located at the SW corner of Isabelle Road & Highway 287, Isabelle Farm Farmstand is located at 1640 Baseline Rd, Lafayette, CO 80026.

The Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze runs every weekend, September 30 – October 29, 2017.

Hours: Saturdays and Sundays, 10AM – 6PM

Pricing: FREE Admission. Hayrides $3/person, Family of 4: $10.

Isabelle Farm hosts its annual Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze every weekend just north of Lafayette at Hwy 287 & Isabelle Road. After you pick out the perfect pumpkin in the you-pick patch, check out the hayrides (starting October 7), barrel rides, farm animals, straw bale maze and corn maze! Fall produce, local honey and jams will also be available to purchase. Isabelle Farm also hosts a small pumpkin patch, with a lovely spot for taking pictures at its beautiful farmstand located on Baseline Rd. The farmstand is open Tuesday – Sunday, 10AM – 6PM.

Miller Farms Fall Harvest Festival

Miller Farms is located at 13912 Co Rd 19, Platteville, CO 80651.

The Fall Harvest Festival runs from Labor Day to Mid-November.

Hours: Daily, 9AM – 6PM

Pricing: Admission $2/person. Harvest Rides $20/adult, $15/kid, 3 & Under are FREE, Family of 4 $65, additional family members $15.

Pumpkin Pricing: Pumpkins range from $5 & up.

Miller Farms hosts its annual Fall Harvest Festival every day throughout the fall season. Admission includes the farm’s petting zoo, corn maze and the Antique Alley, a collection of antique airplanes, trucks and tractors. Pick your own pumpkins and fall produce (fill a wagon for $35!) and take the harvest ride (prices listed above). The farm offers snacks, drinks and treats, and has dozens of covered picnic tables. Pack a lunch and spend a day at the farm!

Munson Farm Pumpkin Patch

The pumpkin patch runs through November 1.

Munson Farm is hosting its annual Pumpkin Patch at its farmstand in East Boulder. Activities include hayrides, a corn maze as well as a pumpkin patch. Munson Farm is known for its amazing selection of unique heirloom pumpkins including cinderella pumpkins, pink pumpkins, and many more!

Rock Creek Farm hosts its annual U-Pick-Em Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze in Broomfield. Free admission includes access to family fun play area, hay bale maze, farm animals and comic foregrounds for photos. Tour the farm’s 120 acre pumpkin patch, with its beautiful mountain backdrop to find and pick your very own pumpkin. The farm also offers four different corn mazes ranging from .3 miles to 5 miles (pricing above).

Rocky Mountain Pumpkin Ranch is hosting its annual October Pumpkin Carnival in Longmont. The weekend pumpkin carnival features a kids corner, pumpkin patch, food vendors as well as activities (prices vary) such as: pony rides, carousel rides, painting pumpkins, petting zoo, hay maze, bouncy castle and so much more! Weekdays, the pumpkin patch is open to the public, with self-guided activities available such as: pumpkin painting, inflatable obstacle course, hay maze and viewing zoo.

Seventh Generation Farm

The 7th Generation Farm is celebrating Fall with a pumpkin patch & fall activities in Louisville. Autumn Gold Festival is Estes Park’s fall celebration – a Festival of Bands, Brats & Beer. Entrance is free to dance, listen to music and enjoy the festival. The Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary will be offering mustard-smothered bratwursts, cold brews, soft drinks and more as talented local musicians and award-winning Colorado bands play. Browse the vendor booths who will be offering corn on the cob, funnel cakes, fresh squeezed lemonade, roasted almonds and desserts. Free family activities include face painting, corn bag toss, a bounce house and a classic car show.  The highlight of the Autumn Gold Festival is the popular raffle with the winner taking home the grand prize of $5,000. Additional prizes include a $2,500 runner-up prize and various other cash awards. Raffle tickets are $25 each.

Come celebrate the 150th birthday of America’s favorite Pioneer Girl, Laura Ingalls Wilder, with the St. Vrain Historical Society. Docents in period costume will be giving historic tours of the Affolter Cabin (1860), the Billings Cabin (1890), the Hauck Milk House (1860) and offer activities for children. Come discover what life was like in the St. Vrain Valley in the 1800s. Bring your picnic dinner and enjoy Old Mill Park! Special events also include: The Silver Creek Fiddlers (music at the top of the hour), Laura’s “Little House” pioneer stories (on the half-hour), “On the Trail of Laura Ingalls Wilder” by Connie Ryle Nuemann, Historian and Teacher at 2:30pm. Suggested donation of $5.00 per adult, children are free. In addition, various Celtic rock, folk, and traditional musicians will be performing. 80 participating Scottish and Irish clans will be participating in the games this year. Pageantry and patriotism, spirit and spectacle, talent and teamwork all combine in this awesome display of music and might. Kids will love the games, the parade, the dog show and the amazing food!

The 2017 Chili Fest is back for its 17th year, this year’s Chili Fest features great chili samples and food, local vendors, a FREE Kids Zone area (Zip Line, Quad Trampoline, Jumpy Castles) and more! Please note that chili samples are generously provided by the cooks and are distributed first come-first served. Get there early as the samples always go fast. At this special event at the Agricultural Heritage Center, attendees will learn about old fashioned jobs and the traditional arts and crafts that went into making what was needed for life down on the farm. Sweaters, candles, even door hinges were made by hand, using skills not widely practiced today. Crafts and Trades of Olden Days offers several games and demonstrations including blacksmithing, candle-dipping and working with a drop spindle. Other activities include soap making, Victorian hair art and storytelling. Several “make and take” activities are offered as well. This free event is fun for all ages. Please note that no pets are allowed on the farm.
